Georgian Conservatories
The Georgian period dated from 1714 to 1837, seeing the reign of the house of Hanover. A lot of Georgian houses are still around today with much of there influence being straight symmetrical lines and uniformity. Most houses were symmetrical, being quite high with a shallow ridged roof.
Georgian town planning also saw the introduction of regularity of house fronts along the street. A good example of this is The Circus in Bath.
Georgian Design Features
So much like Edwardian conservatories, Georgian ones are very square or rectangular shaped as well. Georgian conservatories will have a flat apex which will incorporate a semi circle fanlight above the entrance door, which emulates how the front door to the property looks, or would have looked. As with the Edwardian conservatory the Georgian shares the advantage of better space utilization.
